MEDIATION

What exactly is that?

Mediation: Services

WHY CHOOSE MEDIATION

If you want to get clarity quickly, settle the issue in private and find it important to keep control over the costs and the outcome of the dispute. And not least because you would like to strive for a real solution to the conflict and would like to see your relationship recover and preferably improve. And do you know that the chances of success of a mediation are high ?!

WHAT DOES A MEDIATOR DO

I guide you through conversations in which you put the problem on the table and solve it. During mediations I often notice that my clients have not really talked about what divides them for a long time. Rather, it is an exchange of points of view in which one's own interests seem to come first. Isn't it about my future ?! That is certainly true, but what will the future look like for the other? I help you to gain more awareness for the interests of the other so that you can work in good consultation to find a solution together.
It also happens regularly that my clients still get along well with each other but still like to call in me as an independent expert to guide them. Certainly with divorces, where a lot is involved, professional help is actually a must.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST AND WHAT IT COSTS

That depends on the conflict and how you stand in it. Usually several meetings are required. A meeting normally lasts about 2 hours. Practice shows that about half of mediations are completed within 10 hours. If you want to keep up the speed, we'll be done in a few weeks! During a free introductory meeting I will be happy to discuss this further with you and of course also make agreements about the costs. You can choose an all-in package for divorces

HOW DOES IT END

In the vast majority of cases, mediation is concluded by signing a (settlement) agreement. In it you record the solution to the dispute. The agreement is drawn up by me. If you have advisers, this is done in consultation with the advisers. That agreement is legally binding. There is more to a divorce.
It also happens that the parties resolve part of the dispute and agree how they want to deal with the part that has not yet been resolved. Sometimes no agreements are made and the mediation ends because the parties really cannot reach an agreement.
